Welcome to
DARN,
the Dakota Amphibian and Reptile Network. Our organization was formed in early 2008 to facilitate communication among herpetologists in the Dakotas and the rest of the northern Great Plains.
There are more of them out there than you might think, prompting us to ask these age-old questions: (1) Who are these people? and (2) What
are they doing out there? We have answers! The DARN website provides links to our newsletter, the Dakota Amphibian and Reptile News (DARN). Learn about who we are, what we do, and how you can become a member. The whole DARN thing is FREE. If you're one of those people who can't pass a rotting log without flipping it over, then you're in the right place! | ![]() Above photo: Short-horned lizard.
